| Impression | Hex screwdriver DIA313-0; impression coping DCA1037-0 for NP, DCA1040-0 for RP and DCA1043-0 for WP. | Remove the healing abutment using the hex screwdriver. place immediately the impression coping by hand; engage the hex and tighten the screw. Take an X-ray to verify that the coping is in place; use a custom perforated impression tray; immediately after insertion, gain access to the screw heads of the copings; after setting, untighten the screws heads and lift them slightly before removing the tray. rinse the impression and send it to the lab; do not pour. Your lab should only use the following components : AurAdapt DCA1085-0 for NP, DCA1087-0 for RP and DCA1086-0 for WP. |
| Metal framework insertion | Hex screwdriver DIA313-0 and UniGrip screwdriver DIA932-0 | Remove the healing abutment with the hex screwdriver; place the framework in place; insert the screw with the UniGrip screwdriver; the screw should stop in a fraction of a turn; any friction in the rotation would indicate a problem; take an X-ray to verify the fit; remove and replace the healing abutment; it is recommended to use an antibiotic ointment (Aureomycine) on the components in order to 1) prevent the components to fly, 2) serve as an antibacterial ointment 3) serve as a lubricant. |
| Delivery | NobelBiocare torque controller set at 20 Ncm for NP, 32 Ncm for RP, 45 Ncm for WP; Hex screwdriver DIA313-0 and UniGrip screwdriver DIA932-0; contra angle UniGrip screwdriver DIA923-0; counter torque bracket with appropriate sleeve DIA602-0 for NP, DIA604-0 for RP and DIA607-0 for WP | After removing the healing abutment, place the crown; use a small amount
of antibiotic ointment on the screw; first adjust the contacts; if the
screw does not rotate freely until a positive stop, you usually have a
contact interference. Adjust the contacts very slowly; when you feel that
the contact are adjusted, adjust the occlusal table. Validate your adjustment
with an X-ray to verify that the framework is in place; the proper torque
can be applied only after contact adjustment is satisfactory.
In the case of a contact interference, the lateral forces applied would be capable of breaking the softer bone to titanium interface. After completion of this stage, fill up the chimney with cotton embedded with antibiotics covered by a hard silicone (UV cured). |
